Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress, best recognized for her performances in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school when her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. Although she was struggling financially and in the beginning, she made her acting debut in the role of Rachel's Room's main character. The television film Murder in Greenwich where she played 15-years-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, and she shared the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) with her. Grace was keen to pursue film after starring opposite Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. The actress starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice on Malice in Wonderland a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised the role of Shannon for two additional episodes of Lost including the series finale. She appeared in 2013's six-season of Californication. She belongs to the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal.
