Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress, best recognized for her performances in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school when her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. Although she was struggling financially and in the beginning, she made her acting debut in the role of Rachel's Room's main character. The television film Murder in Greenwich where she played 15-years-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, and she shared the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) with her. Grace was keen to pursue film after starring opposite Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. The actress starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice on Malice in Wonderland a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised the role of Shannon for two additional episodes of Lost including the series finale. She appeared in 2013's six-season of Californication. She portrays Faith as a groupie and is also a model actors. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She belongs to the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a young teenager as she was cast in minor parts in a few films directed that her father directed. Also, she worked alongside her brother in 2001's famous film Donnie Darko. She then appeared on the screen in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performance as the main character actress in Secretary (2002), which is an erotic romantic drama and Sherrybaby (2006). She was also nominated by the Golden Globe Award. After several commercially successful films in 2006 such as World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). Her performance in Crazy Heart as a mother who has a child earned her nomination in the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she appeared in comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and The Won't Back Down (2012). In addition, she was a Secret Service Agent in White House Down, an action thriller from 2013, she was a musician on the set of Frank (2014) as well as the lead role on The Kindergarten Teacher, a film that debuted in the year the year 2018. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a writer and director in 2021, with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
