Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea is a popular Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea was first able to make a name for herself with stand-up comedy in the year 2011, following small parts that she acted in Irish and British TV dramas beginning in 2009. As early as 2012 she was in sitcoms and sketch comedy. Following her win at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for numerous panel shows for which she has become a fixture. Between 2016 and 2017, she was a team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats and a regular contestant in the show's follow-up show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The parents of her include Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. She has one younger sister, Sinead. In 2012, she was the only woman in history to be awarded the So You Think You're Funny award.
